To vote in California, you must be:
At least 18 years old by election day	A US Citizen
A California resident	Not in prison or on parole for a felony
Not declared mentally incompetent by court action	Registered at least 15 days before the election

Request a registration form: If you call the Registrar of Voters at (408) 299-VOTE [8683], or toll free (866) 430-VOTE [8683], a postcard will be sent to you. Fill out and mail the postcard back to the Registrar of Voters.
